By Road

From the north: Exit the A1 at the junction posted A186 (Newcastle West) and A69 (Hexham). Take the first exit (A186) onto West Road and keep going straight on. This road becomes the Westgate Road. At the junction with the A189, turn left onto the A189 and go to the top of the hill. Turn right at St James’ Park onto St Andrew’s Street, then right again onto Stowell Street. Go under the Chinatown archway and The Gate car park is on the left.
From the south: Exit the A1 at the junction posted Gateshead and Newcastle centre (A184). Keep in the right hand lane and continue over the Redheugh Bridge flyover. Join the A189 and go to the top of the hill. Turn right at St James’ Park onto St Andrew’s Street, then right again onto Stowell Street. Go under the Chinatown archway and The Gate car park is on the left.

On exiting The Gate complex, walk down the side street between The Gate and Tiger Tiger (Low Friar Street), then turn right at the end into Charlotte Square. i6 is on the opposite side of the square.


By rail: i6 is a 3 minute walk from Newcastle-upon-Tyne Central Station. Cross the main road outside the entrance to the station and walk up Pink Lane. Cross over Clayton Street and continue up Pink Lane, then over Westgate Road onto Cross Street. This opens out onto Charlotte Square on the left and i6 is at the top of the square.
By air: Newcastle International Airport is a 15 minute drive from i6. There is a Metro train link from the airport to Central Station, with i6 only a short walk away.
